Data we process

• Account data: email address and sign-in data.
• Device data: devices you add, their settings, readings (e.g. battery charge, temperatures) and automations.
• Location data: GPS position and speed when you use the map, weather, camp spots or motion detection.
• Device cloud credentials (e.g. Tuya, Home Assistant, Shelly), stored encrypted.
• Contact form messages and troubleshooting reports.
• Subscription data: status and validity. We never see card details — payments are handled by Creem.

Purpose and legal basis

Data is used to provide the service (contract), to give support and keep the service secure (legitimate interest), and to meet legal obligations. We do not sell data or use it for advertising.

Recipients

We use cloud hosting providers (database and server services), the payment processor Creem, and open map and weather services, which receive only the location needed for a lookup. AI features send your question and relevant readings to an AI provider to generate the answer.

Retention

Data is kept while your account exists. Reading history is kept for a limited time. After account deletion data is removed unless the law requires retention.

Your rights

You may access, correct, delete, restrict, object to and port your data. Requests: info@retkuiluguru.app. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, e.g. the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).

Cookies

We only use browser storage necessary for operation (sign-in, language, settings).
